This is more of a question to see if anyone have any knowledge on this.

I am trying to become a CGC in the state of Florida, I have currently graduated with a BS in construction management and offered an Engineer intern position. After passing my business and finance exam does anyone know if that experience qualifies for the license?

Here are the job duties that are performed:

Work under a licensed Professional Engineer, investigating, evaluating, planning, computer modeling, designing, constructing, managing, or inspecting public infrastructure projects

Develops engineering knowledge and skills in a specific area of planning, design, or construction management; evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for public infrastructure projects; collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments; works on projects or portions of larger projects. Performs design tasks using current principles and practices of engineering; prepares project documents; develops specifications; performs computer modeling; conducts research and investigations. Performs construction observation to determine compliance with specifications and approved design plans. Receives instructions pertaining to specific project objectives; Addresses unconventional and complex problems and proposes solutions. Assigns tasks and coordinates work of Engineering Technicians and Engineering Associates; assists in developing and analyzing project schedules and budget requirements. Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge of the fundamental principles and practices of engineering. Knowledge of computer modeling and computer aided drafting and mapping software and applications. Knowledge of the principles and practices of land surveying. Knowledge of field testing, sampling and investigative techniques and procedures. Effective oral and written communication skills. Skill in science and mathematics. Skill in determining and interpreting scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Skill in the use of a computer and related software. Ability to develop and utilize computer applications for engineering modeling, design, drafting, and mapping. Ability to exercise independent judgment in writing technical reports and perform engineering calculations. Ability to exercise independent judgment in assigning and coordinating work assignments. Ability to exercise independent judgment in using field sampling equipment. Ability to follow and provide oral and written directions. Ability to work effectively with others
